The second subnational dialogue as part of Uzbekistan's preparation for the UN Food Systems Summit
  • The second subnational dialogue was held on 17 June, 2021 in Namangan as part of Uzbekistan's preparation for the UN Food Systems Summit. The dialogue was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with the participation of relevant ministries and departments, as well as representatives of international and public organizations and the private sector.

  • The United Nations in Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture jointly hosted a series of national and sub-national dialogues as part of mobilizing countrywide support and response to the United Nations Food Systems Summit called by the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres.

FAO enhances Uzbekistan's capacity in achieving Sustainable Development Goals
  • A round table in National Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems Center marked the completion of the project on "Strengthening national capacities in Sustainable Development Goals implementation and monitoring" implemented by FAO and the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan. It was attended by FAO experts, national stakeholders and representatives of non-governmental organizations.
