Our Work on the Sustainable Development Goals in Uzbekistan
How the UN is supporting The Sustainable Development Goals in Uzbekistan
The UN and its partners in Uzbekistan are working towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals: 17 interconnected and ambitious Goals which address the main development challenges faced by people in Uzbekistan and around the world.
Uzbekistan has confirmed its commitment to the achievement of the global 2030 Agenda and an inclusive, multi-stakeholder partnership approach for the realisation of sixteen national Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The current national medium-term plan, the 2017-2021 National Action Strategy, serves as a pathway towards SDG implementation.
To ensure that the SDGs are prioritised throughout all ministries, the Government in October 2018 endorsed and adopted a resolution on the 2030 Agenda which reinforced commitment to align SDGs to national strategies and programmes. The Government adopted 16 national SDGs, 125 related targets, and 206 indicators to facilitate monitoring of their implementation.
The Sustainable Development Goals in Uzbekistan
The Sustainable Development Goals are a global call to action to end poverty, protect the earth’s environment and climate, and ensure that people everywhere can enjoy peace and prosperity. These are the goals the UN is working on in Uzbekistan:

Where is the money going? How the UN contributes to the SDGs
The graph below provides a visual representation of required and available resources, as well as expenditure, that contribute to SDGs. Where a programmatic intervention contributes to multiple SDGs, the funding is divided equally across the SDGs Goals (based on the tagged SDG targets). This visual can be filtered by required resources, available resources and expenditure.
Leveraging UN investments to advance the Sustainable Development Goals
