FAO’s work recognized with Uzbekistan’s agricultural award
  • FAO Director-General QU Dongyu received today Uzbekistan’s state agricultural award on behalf of the Organization in recognition of its active support for the development of the country’s agri-food sector. This high state honor was established by Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in 2017 on the occasion of the national Agriculture Workers’ Day.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Decree “On measures to improve the system of social protection of the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021-2030”
  • The decree approves the Concept Note of the National Strategy of Social Protection (NSSP) for 2021-2030, the roadmap for drafting the NSSP and composition of the Republican working group to develop NSSP. The Concept Note developed by the Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the UN Joint Programme on Strengthening Social Protection in Uzbekistan.
