Remarks of UN Resident Coordinator on the adoption of Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy

I am pleased to note that the new Strategy addresses the SDGs, with clear goals and targets in education, healthcare, social protection, gender equality, water, and environmental protection.

We also welcome the decision to analyze the implementation of the Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy by the Coordination Council on National SDG Implementation.

With the adoption of this strategy, Uzbekistan is well positioned to make strong high level commitments at the SDG Summit.

The UN Country Team is committed to continue to support the Government in the implementation of the new Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy.
