Nawruz message of UN Resident Consuelo Vidal Bruce

Assalomu Alaykum! 

Dear partners, colleagues, dear friends.

On behalf of the United Nations Country Team in Uzbekistan, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to all our national and international partners on the occasion of Nawruz and express my gratitude for your commitment to promoting peace, development, and human rights, and for your support to the work of the United Nations in the country.

In Uzbekistan, Nawruz is a truly national holiday and one of the most beloved and revered by all people of the country. I am very excited that this year I will celebrate Nawruz in Uzbekistan. As this is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the diversity of the traditions of the spring celebration.

I would like to encourage everyone to share the Nawruz spirit: solidarity, kindness between communities and generations, celebrating the diversity and richness of cultures and traditions, as well as the values that unite us as human beings. 

The United Nations is proud to be a partner of Uzbekistan and we work together with our national counterparts to build a better future for all with a focus on leaving no one behind. 

May this Nawruz bring joy, happiness, and prosperity to all, and may it strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Nations.
