Sabine Machl: Uzbekistan Is a Key Strategic Partner of the UN

The United Nations plays a vital role in promoting peace, security, and global cooperation. It provides a platform for dialogue, supports conflict resolution, and tackles key global challenges—from poverty and climate change to human rights—through its agencies and programmes.

To discuss these issues, UzA spoke with Sabine Machl, the UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan. The conversation focused on the importance of international cooperation, Uzbekistan’s growing engagement with the UN, and encouraging political awareness among young people.
